Get started with transaction monitoring
The Get Started page gives administrators a short readiness checklist before the first transaction is submitted. It appears in the Transaction Monitoring navigation while any required item remains incomplete and disappears automatically after every item is complete.
The page is part of the Transaction Monitoring module. It is not a separately licensed Sub-module.
Complete the checklist
Configure the institution base currency
Set the institution's permanent ISO 4217 base currency under Transaction Monitoring → Settings. OneView uses this value to classify foreign-currency activity and validate the exchange-rate fields submitted with a transaction.
This action requires Manage transaction settings. See Base currency settings before saving the value because it cannot be changed through the dashboard after initial configuration.
Create an ingestion API service account
Create at least one active, unexpired API service account that is scoped to either Transaction Monitoring or All modules. The source system uses this credential to authenticate requests to the transaction ingestion API.
This action requires Manage API service accounts. Store the generated secret immediately because OneView shows it only once. See API Service Accounts for credential creation, storage, rotation, and revocation guidance.
Readiness behaviour
OneView checks readiness from the current configuration and service-account records. The checklist updates after an administrator saves the base currency or creates or revokes an eligible credential.
- An expired or revoked credential does not satisfy the ingestion credential item.
- A service account scoped only to another module does not satisfy the item.
- Transaction rules are not a prerequisite. The Rules Sub-module is licensed independently, and transactions can be accepted with a Not evaluated outcome when Rules is unavailable.
- Users who can view the checklist but cannot complete an item see that administrator action is required.
When both items are complete, OneView removes Get Started from the navigation. Opening its URL directly then returns the user to the main dashboard.
