Branding

Apply the organisation's logo, name, and colours.

Available customisation

branding:read permits viewing the current profile, preview, and version history. branding:manage permits saving, resetting the edit form, removing/uploading a logo, and restoring a history version.

An authorised branding manager can configure:

  • Organisation name.
  • Short name of up to six characters.
  • Logo image.
  • Whether the organisation name appears beside the logo.
  • Primary, accent, and sidebar colours.

The saved organisation name is also used for the browser tab title and application-name metadata. Page context remains visible—for example, Branding | Example Organisation. When the saved profile has a valid logo, the same bounded raster image is used as the browser favicon. Removing the logo restores the packaged OneView favicon. Reports, exports, and notifications are not branded by this setting in the current release.

The editor validates text contrast and the active indicator before enabling save. Reset defaults changes the unsaved form; select Save branding to publish it.

Version history

Every saved branding profile creates a history entry. Administrators with branding-management permission can review the actor and date and restore an earlier version after confirmation.

A restore creates a new history version rather than deleting history, so the replaced profile remains recoverable.

Logo guidance

Use a clean image with sufficient contrast in the sidebar and header. Test both the logo-only and logo-with-name options at expanded and collapsed navigation widths.

The current upload accepts PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 512 KB and 2048 × 2048 pixels. OneView checks the file signature, decodability, size, and dimensions; a filename extension alone is not trusted.

For a safe review, use approved non-production brand assets first—for example, a short name such as ACME and a logo without customer or employee personal data. Preview the three validated colours, expanded/collapsed navigation, and login experience before saving. Do not upload identity documents, signatures, or a remote image URL as a logo.

See Activity logs for saved/restored actions and Data boundary & responsibilities before sharing a branded screenshot.
