1. Prepare the hostname
Create a DNS record pointing the selected hostname to the OneView server. For automatic HTTPS, confirm ports 80 and 443 reach that server.

2. Run the installer
Copy the current installation command from the approved OneView delivery channel. Run it with the dedicated
operating-system account that will own the installation and enter oneview.customer.example as the hostname when
prompted.
Enter the license key and activation code when prompted. Do not put either secret directly in the shell command.
3. Complete browser setup
Open:
https://oneview.customer.example/setup
The installer prints the setup token and setup URL when installation completes. Protect that terminal output. If it is lost, use the approved setup-token recovery process.
Then follow the safe setup checklist to connect PostgreSQL, create the system administrator, activate the license, verify protected recovery responsibilities, and complete setup.
